A stronger fit when...

Enterprises with African operations, at least one year operating and USD 100,000 or more in revenue, seeking USD 100,000-500,000. ASCEND accepts different sectors. These are programme thresholds, not promises that investors will fund the requested round.

Pause or look elsewhere when...

Pre-revenue ventures, businesses without a clear investment case, or founders who only want non-repayable support. Do not confuse ASCEND with the separate Sankalp Awards or larger-growth deal rooms.

What the support actually means

Selected enterprises receive preparatory workshops, a summit ticket, investor-panel engagement and visibility. Investors decide independently whether to invest. A complimentary ticket does not establish airfare, accommodation or a funded deal.

Applications close on 20 November 2026; summit activities are scheduled for 22-26 February 2027. Budget founder preparation time and travel costs unless the organiser confirms coverage. Investment terms are negotiated separately.

How selection or access works

An initial application is screened, selected founders attend workshops, and the cohort pitches to an angel-investor panel. A place in the cohort is not investment approval.
